Splashtop On-Prem currently provides client apps in the following platforms:
- iOS (iPhone and iPad)
- Android (android 7 and above)
Given the convenience and power of multiple platform support, the users may however be confused with the versions and editions of the Splashtop On-Prem client apps. This article guides the end users to get the right Splashtop On-Prem app.
Download from Splashtop Gateway web portal
Similar to Streamers, Splashtop Gateway web portal provides On-Prem client app download for Windows, Mac and Android. The end users can log in to the web portal to download using his own account. Refer to the article below on how to access the Splashtop Gateway web portal.
Once logged in to the web portal, the user should see the Downloads section, where direct download for Android (APK file), macOS (DMG) and Windows (EXE) is available. A simple click should get you the right Splashtop On-Prem app. For iPhone and Android, you will be re-directed to the App Store and Play Store respectively for downloading.

For mobile devices, it is more convenient to download the Splashtop On-Prem app directly from the App Store/Play Store.
If you are an iPhone/iPad user, search "Splashtop On-Prem" in App store. Scroll until you find the app named "Splashtop On-Prem" (it is a successor of the Splashtop Enterprise app). Install the app and you are good to connect.
*There is another app named "Splashtop Enterprise". Please be reminded this app is for Splashtop Enterprise v2. The Splashtop Enterprise v2 apps are NOT compatible with the current Splashtop On-Prem system.
If you are an Android user, search "Splashtop Enterprise" in Play Store. Choose to install Splashtop Enterprise (not the Legacy one).
For Admin to update the Splashtop On-Prem app download in the Gateway
From time to time, Splashtop releases new versions of Splashtop On-Prem client apps to enhance the performance, stability and security. The administrator is responsible for uploading and maintaining the versions of client apps in Splashtop Gateway.
1. Upload to Splashtop Gateway
Log into Splashtop Gateway web portal as Team Owner, and go to System > Software > On-Prem App. Click Upload to upload the new version into the system.
Browse the installer, check the "Set this pkg as active" option and start uploading.
Only "pkg" files are accepted to upload. Please approach Splashtop Support to get "pkg" installer.
2. Set the right version as active
In the same Software page, the Administrator can activate and de-activate any of the installers. The end users will only see the active installers in the deployment page.
