We will start to deprecate the support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008 R1 in phases over the first quarter of of 2024.
The number of endpoints running these operating systems accounts for a very small percentage of Splashtop endpoints, and this deprecation will enable us to further tighten up our infrastructure security and modernize our toolchain.
Starting with version 3.6.8.0, which will be released around first quarter of 2024, new Splashtop software versions will no longer support Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003, and Server 2008 R1, meaning those endpoints will no longer be able to connect to the Splashtop infrastructure. Remote access will no longer be possible to those endpoints. Older releases of Splashtop software (e.g. version 3.5.8.3) will be kept available for the small number of users who still need to deploy to endpoints running these operating systems.
For up-to-date list of our supported operating systems, please refer to Splashtop On-Prem system requirements support article.
