Splashtop AR is intended to assist mobile workers that require assistance from another technical or managerial expert or colleague. You can aid on-site staff or clients in order to address problems (product setup, fixing hardware issues, etc.) remotely with visual aids.
AR is disabled in the license by default, please contact your Splashtop Sales for more information.
Required Gateway version v3.28.2 and above.
Required On-Prem app version v3.6.8.0 and above.

Download Splashtop AR on the App Store for your iOS device.
*Splashtop AR is currently only available in iOS 13.0 or newer.
Download Splashtop AR on the Google Play Store for your Android device.
Getting started - Desktop connection
1. Launch On-Prem app on your local computer
a) Open the Splashtop On-Prem app, and either click the blue “SOS” icon or click “SOS” in the menu bar and click “connect to users device”.
*Splashtop AR is currently only available for On-Prem app v3.6.8.0 or newer.
b). Enter the Splashtop AR session ID provided from your user.
2. Establish a session
a) Once you connect with the Splashtop AR session ID, a pop-up will appear for the end-user to allow or reject the connection.
b) Once they allow the connection, you'll be connected to their device.
3. Use Splashtop AR
Once the connection is established, the camera image(rear camera only) of the user's device will be transmitted to you. You can also utilize our microphone feature to communicate with your user.
AR toolbar:
Disconnect: Disconnect the session
View option: scaling, frame rate setting
Fullscreen
Pause mode: Pause the camera stream, user can continue to annotate on the screen
Resume: Unpaused the camera stream, all annotations will be erased
Flashlight: Disable the flashlight on the end user's device
Flashlight: Enable the flashlight on the end user's device
AR list: View the arrow & line menu to delete the selected item
Erase: Erase all, Erase my drawing, Erase user's drawing, Erase the selection

4. Annotations
Getting started - iOS device connection
1. Launch Splashtop AR on your mobile device
2. Share your Splashtop AR with your technician
a) Open the Splashtop AR on your mobile device, then tap "Start".
b) Enable camera and microphone access to AR draw and audio.
c) Tap on the generated 9-digit Session ID, it will be copied into the cache of your mobile device, then share it with your technician.
d) There are several ways to share your ID such as message, mail, notes...etc, simply tap on the "Share ID" button to see the available options.
3. Establish a session
a) Once the session ID was received, an AR session request will be established by your technican.
b) As soon as your technician connects with the ID, a pop-up will appear for you to allow or reject the connection.
4. Use Splashtop AR

Technician's microphone status: Audio on
Technician's microphone status: Audio off

Getting started - Android device connection
1. Launch on-prem AR on your Android device and input Splashtop Gateway address
2. Share session ID your Splashtop AR with your tech
a) Allow Splashtop to take pictures and screen recordings.
c) Tap on the generated 9-digit ID, it will be copied into the cache of your mobile device, then share it with your technician.
d) There are several ways to share your ID such as messages, mail, notes...etc, simply tap on the "Share ID" button to see the available options.
