This update is a maintenance release that includes:
PostgreSQL security upgrade – Upgraded PostgreSQL to version 16.10, addressing recent CVEs. See the PostgreSQL 16.10 Release Notes for details.
Web Client session fix – Fixed an issue where sessions could drop immediately when connecting through the Web Client with Windows Streamer v3.7.4.5.
PostgreSQL Event Viewer fix – Eliminated PostgreSQL warning messages that appeared in Windows Event Viewer introduced in v3.36.0. These warnings did not affect Gateway functionality but might cause unnecessary concern.
- Other than these fixes, there are no additional changes or concerns.

Gateway
- Gateway versions lower than v3.26.x do NOT support direct upgrade to v3.36.x
- If your Splashtop Gateway is lower than v3.26.x, please refer to the upgrade best practice guide.

Endpoints software
- After upgrade your Splashtop Gateway to v3.36.3, all previous versions of On-Prem app/Streamer (pre-packaged with Gateway) lower than v3.7.2.x, will be removed and replaced by v3.7.4.x. Already deployed versions will not be affected. The server will retain only the latest software suite for each given version.
For example, after an upgrade of Gateway from v3.32.x to v3.36.x, the v3.7.2.x packed in the Gateway will be replaced by v3.7.4.x.
Below are the default endpoints version pre-packaged in the last 5 major releases of Splashtop Gateway.

Endpoint PKG Compatibility Requirements by Gateway Version
- Gateway v3.24.4 or higher will NOT load PKG lower than v3.5.8.x
- Gateway lower than v3.24.4 cannot load PKG v3.5.8.x or higher
- Since Gateway v3.24.4, endpoint packages are no longer included in backup files. As Splashtop continues to introduce new compatible platforms for an optimal cross-platform experience, excluding endpoint packages from backups helps maintain streamlined maintenance and prevents excessive package sizes.
