Disable saving OS credentials and security code

While saving computer OS credentials and security code reduces the connecting effort on the establishment of each remote session, Splashtop Gateway v3.24.0 started to provide global options to disable this behavior for security enhancement. 

 

Connect authentication settings on Streamer 

 

Connecting to a MAC 

a.) Mac user login

b.) Splashtop Security Code login

 

 

Disable saving login credentials from Gateway

Log in Gateway web console as Team owner -> Management -> Team Settings

Find below options in Splashtop Remote Support Settings

[ ] Allow users to save Windows/Mac credential 

[ ] Allow users to save security code

These options are enabled by default, uncheck to disable. 

Note: Client app re-login is required to activate the new policy.

 

Connecting to a MAC after disabled

a.) Mac user login with no saving option.

 

b.) Splashtop Security Code login with no saving option.
